Set in the peaceful Normandy countryside of the Cotentin Peninsula, La Bourdonnerie is a quaint, fully restored, non-working farm - converted over the past ten years to self-catering gite & holiday cottage accommodation.

Our family-friendly gite complex is situated only 45 minutes South of Cherbourg at the edge of the pretty village of Vesly between the lively market town La Haye du Puits and the Abbey town Lessay.

We are centrally located in the heart of the picturesque Cherbourg Peninsula within easy reach of the major Normandy tourist sites both historic and cultural. The glorious West Cotentin beaches of fine white sand and extensive dunes - covering more than 300km of magnificant, protected coastline - are only a short 10 minute drive away.

We have four holiday cottages for rental for you to choose from ranging from the 300 year old character Norman farmhouse Le Lavoir; to one of our three barns converted to gites: the cosy, detached holiday cottage Le Pressoir; the spacious and comfortable gite La Vacherie; or our newest and most luxurious gite La Lapiniere. All the gites are nestled around our large, traditional Norman courtyard, in 3 acres of well-maintained, landscaped grounds, set back from a quiet country lane, with peaceful open pastures and gently rolling green hills beyond.

All of our gites have been restored to a standard to offer quality accommodation with all the modern conveniences, combined with the old world charm of traditional Norman surroundings.
